FAQs

What Airport should I fly to?

We recommend that you fly to the Victoria International Airport (YYJ). Flights from Vancouver International Airport to Victoria International Airport are frequent and take about 30 minutes.

The meeting point for the Camping Tours is at Barnacle Road, where can I park my car?

There is free parking on Barnacle Road. However, parking spots are limited. We strongly recommend that you carpool or use public transit (BC Transit – Bus 70, 71 or 72 – stop ID # 102387 “Ferry Terminal access rd. at Lands End”).

Do I need to bring a Personal Floatation Device (PFD)?

Yes, you are required to bring your own PFD that is appropriate for your size and weight. A PFD is mandatory for each rower in accordance with Transport Canada regulations, and it must be worn at all times while rowing. For comfort, we recommend using a belt-style PFD. (e.g. Belt PFD)

If you are unable to bring your own PFD, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist.

Please also note that most airlines allow a CO₂ cartridge to be packed in a checked bag
